Membership in ASHRAE - the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers - is open to any person associated with heating, ventilation, air conditioning or refrigeration through such disciplines as indoor air quality and energy conservation, for example. Membership in ASHRAE allows access to state-of-the-art HVAC&R technology and provides many opportunities to participate in the development of that technology.

ASHRAE is the forum where HVAC&R professionals come together to ask questions, share ideas and put their ideas to the test of peer criticism.

ASHRAE is unique because its membership is drawn from a wide range of disciplines relating to the HVAC&R field. Approximately 50,000 individuals from more than 100 nations belong to the Society. Among them are students, consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, building owners, and employees of manufacturing companies, educational institutions, research organizations, government or any organization concerned with environmental control. Members range from students to longtime engineers and professionals in other related disciplines such as architecture and medical research.

International Marking and Identification Association

National Air Duct Cleaners Association - NADCA
The National Air Duct Cleaners Association (NADCA) was formed in 1989 as a non-profit association of companies engaged in the cleaning of HVAC systems. Its mission was to promote source removal as the only acceptable method of cleaning and to establish industry standards for the association. NADCA has expanded its mission to include the representation of qualified companies engaged in the assessment, cleaning, and restoration of HVAC systems, and to assist it members in providing high quality service to their customers. The goal of the association is to be the number one source for the HVAC cleaning and restoration services: first time, every time.

National Association of Professional Pet Sitters
NAPPS is the only national nonprofit U.S. trade association for individuals with pet sitting businesses. It is operated for and by its members. Other national pet sitting organizations are for-profit. NAPPS also provides many tools and resources to its members at no additional cost.
